Around $100.00. The most expensive part is the motor. It’s a Dayton 6RPM gearmotor but I’ve heard it’s not available anymore.

  2. Awesome prop! Do you sell these? Any how to instuctions?

  3. How did you get it to change colors?…or is it just painted with many colors?

  4. The cheescloth is soaked in RIT and a black light is used. Makes it look like the cheescloth is glowing.

  5. you sell them for about a hundred? thats a really good price. Paypal?

  6. $100.00 for just the rig. No motor. The Dayton 2Z806 motor has been discontinued and I haven’t found a replacement yet. I used to sell the rig with motor for $200.00. You might be able to find the motor if someone has any left in stock.

  7. What colors did you use? It looks great!

  8. Thanks!

We soaked the cheescloth in RIT (available at Wal-Mart). Let it dry. Hung the ghost and placed an 18″ black light at the base of the ghost. The black light makes the cheescloth glow.

Best FCG I’ve seen yet! I’m just setting out to make my first one for this year’s hayride, and I’m straining to find a motor. Any advice? Ideally, I’d like it to be battery powered, but I can make AC work if the price is right.

  18. Thanks. I built this about 5 years ago. First one I’ve built. I used a Dayton 2Z806 gearmotor. This is the one most people used to use. Dayton has discontinued this motor. Monster Guts has a replacement though. I haven’t used one but it looks good. Just Google Monster Guts and click on “Electric Motors for Props”.

  19. I really don’t remember. It was so long ago. They weren’t much though. I think under $10.00.

  20. I see the eyes change, but what’s creating the pink and purple on the fabric? My blacklight only creates a purple glow.

  21. The fabric is cheescloth. It’s dyed in RIT. We got the RIT from wal-mart.

  22. nice job

  23. Very well done yardhaunters.
I made the mechanism and ghost some months back but after weeks of searching I’ve been unable to locate the right cheescloth here in the UK .
I have some on order from U.S.

  24. Nice job! Very well lit! I especially like the fading eyes!!

    Well done! 5 stars!

  25. cool!!
